League Results How are we doing in the league? - click here to find out I would like to start by thanking all the team Captains for their help and support over the past season to ensure that despite the horrendous weather, the majority of the matches were played by the end of the season. All team Captains efforts are appreciated by the players and Committee alike. Basingstoke & District Winter League 2009/2010 Six teams were registered for the 2009/2010 Winter season: three Mens, one Ladies and two Mixed. All teams have been enjoying their tennis in spite of delays caused by severe snow in December and January. At the time of writing there are still matches to be played. Old Basing's best performance came from the Ladies in Division 2 who are on equal points with the top team with one game in hand. Mens 'A' and 'B' teams together with the Mixed 'B' team finished in mid-table whilst Mens 'C' and Mixed 'A' finished in the bottom half of their respective tables. Basingstoke & District Summer League 2009 Eight teams were entered into the Summer league: Three Mens, two Ladies and three Mixed. All teams again competed strongly with some notable achievements. MENS 'A' - Finished third in Division 1 MENS 'B' struggled this season after promotion to Division 1 last Season and will be relegated to Division 2. Ladies 'B' also struggled after promotion last season, finishing near the bottom of Division 2. The MIXED 'B' struggled too, and will be relegated. All other teams managed to secure safety in their respective divisions. Basingstoke & District Summer League 2010 The Summer will soon be upon us and we are looking forward to another enjoyable league season. Nine teams have been registered for the 2010 Summer season: four Mens, two Ladies and three Mixed. I am looking to increase the depth of squads for the teams for the Summer Season. As we will be running an extra men‟s team it is important to know everyones willingness and availability to play in club matches. For this season I will assume that everyone is available to play in matches unless they specifically contact myself and the relevant team captain to the contrary.
